Vallarino from Common Ground Etiquette What can I do if someone brings an extra guest (sibling) unexpectedly to my son’s birthday party?Don’t make waves, there is nothing you can do except to add another chair and smile. Younger children (siblings) will have to be incorporated to the party and everything should go as planned.  If the extra guest is an older child, maybe you can ask him to help with the games/activities.  I suggest that “just in case” you always keep a few extra goodie bags on hand.  It appears this is a situation that occurs more than we think.
